There was no better description of what had just occurred than Davey Boy Smith's when The Shockmaster infamously tumbled through a paper wall at Clash Of The Champions XXIV.

"He fell flat on his f*cking a*se" could be picked up in Mancunian drawl as Fred Ottman raced to put his Stormtrooper helmet back on. He was trying to salvage something, but one of his tag team partners - and indeed WCW at large - had given up the ghost.

To that end, the company repackaged him as a clumsy oaf. The Shockmaster moniker was eased out in favour of an "Uncle Fred" nickname given to him by the various kids he was sat with during a WCW Saturday Night vignette around his house weeks after the stumble. Fittingly for his new tag, one of the children was his actual nephew - Cody Rhodes.

Seen clambering up Fred's arm as the other children very clearly react to nothing in particular, Cody's legitimate link to the former Typhoon is perhaps why he looks the most comfortable in the scene.
