Some of the best TV moments are born from experimentation, but the people in charge creatively must be willing to roll with them and give things a shot. Initially, Sami Zayn's delusional conspiracy theorist character was only supposed to interact with The Bloodline for a short while. Maybe a segment or two at most.

He had so much chemistry with Roman Reigns that WWE couldn’t say no to some more though, and things grew arms and legs from there. Suddenly, everybody realised they had some magic on their hands, and Zayn went from yakking on and on about conspiracies to becoming an unlikely "Honorary Uce".

Comedy gold ensued, but that was never the plan. Everybody reading this would agree that promotional patience paid off. Zayn corpsed members of the group on-air, charmed the pants off everybody in the process, and then rocketed up the ranks as Roman's mortal enemy after saving on/off pal Kevin Owens from a kicking at Royal Rumble.

Storytelling genius, and it gets better for Sami...
