As sterile and frigid as the televised WWE experience can be, the magic of seeing the product in the flesh never dies.

This unique feeling can't be replicated through a TV or tablet screen. It scales depending on the event, with WrestleMania at the top of the pile, but even house shows offer some different. Free from the pressures of television, the performers can cut loose, enjoy themselves, have a little fun, and behave in ways that aren't possible on Raw or SmackDown. While you might not see five-star wrestling, you will have a five-star time if you allow yourself.

Speaking personally, your writer had the privilege of attending a whole bunch of events over WrestleMania 35 weekend. NXT TakeOver: New York was particularly powerful. Attending that show proved a perfect antidote to the crippling senses of burnout and ennui that inevitably creep in when one overindulges in wrestling, and although getting to shows of this stature isn't easy (or cheap), experiencing WWE is the easiest way to wash any lingering negativity away. The spectacle, atmosphere, and excitement will remind you why you persist with this hobby in the first place.
