The road back to the Octagon has been a long and arduous one for Nicolas Dalby. Let go by the UFC in 2016. The Danish welterweight went through a bout of depression due to his bad of form inside the promotion. After a year-and-a-half break, Dalby made his return to competition on the European circuit, going undefeated in his four most recent fights.
Following his success outside the UFC, they re-signed the 34-year old, pitting him against hard-hitting Brazilian, Alex Oliveira, in his return fight. It's certainly not the easiest scrap to mark your comeback, but that shouldn't phase Dalby, who has fought like a man possessed to get this shot at redemption in the Octagon.
While Oliveira brings a good level of violence to all of his fights, the new and improved version of Dalby will certainly welcome a brawl with him. Whether that's a good thing or not remains to be seen, but it'll certainly be entertaining to watch.
