10 Seriously Overlooked WWE Heels
2. Trish Stratus
Most wrestling fans will forever remember Trish Stratus as one of the best female wrestlers of the modern era. A multi-time Women's Champion, Stratus successfully transitioned from being a non-wrestling blonde bombshell into a cherished piece of in-ring talent. Later, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
As a babyface, Trish was likeable and came across as a genuine competitor. Even though she got her start in the industry as a heel valet, Stratus put so much into her improvement as a wrestler that fans picked up on it. From then on, it was hard to hate her.
This only makes her 2004 turn at WrestleMania XX all the more impressive. Having engaged in an onscreen romance with Chris Jericho, Trish callously turned her back on one Canadian to side with another. United with Christian, Stratus revelled in the moment as she kissed her new lover whilst staring directly at Y2J.
Such a story garnered sympathy for Jericho, turning Trish into a red-hot heel in the process. Eventually she'd turn babyface again, meaning her evil guise isn't remembered quite as fondly. That's a shame.
