10 Seriously Overlooked WWE Heels

1. Batista

Deciding to leave WWE in the Summer of 2010, Batista went out with a bang. Previously, 'The Animal' had technically played heel as part of the Evolution faction alongside Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. That guise came right at the start of his main roster career however, meaning it isn't entirely memorable.

Moving on to 2010, Batista was a much more well-rounded performer. After years as a babyface, he turned on Rey Mysterio in stirring fashion as 2009 came to a close. Heading into the new year, the heel schtick was something fresh for Batista. John Cena was his next major opponent, the pair clashed at WrestleMania XXVI.

It's been said that the best on screen characters are those who retain some elements of real-life. Coming across like a cocky megastar and upping the volume, Batista was on fire as a promo man during his feud with Cena. By the time he was quitting on the May 24, 2010 episode of Monday Night Raw, the man was a massive loss to the main event pack.

Unfortunately, due to his tame return in 2014, Batista's 2010 run is often glossed over.
