The story of Batista's 2007 was that, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't put away The Undertaker. He dropped the World Heavyweight Title to him at WrestleMania 23 and then failed to win it back in both Last Man Standing and Steel Cage matches, before 'Taker went on the injured list.

After his return and destruction of Mark Henry, 'Taker's first course of action was trying to win back the WHC from Batista and the two faced each other at Cyber Sunday 2007. Fans could vote on who they wanted to be the special guest referee, with Steve Austin, Mick Foley and JBL the choices.

No prizes for guessing who won that one.

Anyway, the match. By the this point, the two men were very familiar with one another and had good chemistry. This was just two warhorses throwing bombs at each other and waiting for the other man to make a mistake, so he could punch him directly in the mouth.

There was nothing fancy about this (not that there should have been), but everything was tight and believable. The pacing was also spot-on, as they didn't rush things and took their time to tell the story they needed to tell. Pretty much all of the big moves were kicked out of, Last Rides and Batista Bombs only registering two counts.

It was only after a second Bastia Bomb that The Animal was able to finally score a well-deserved win over The Deadman. Just a total war and a really underrated World Heavyweight Title match.
