The Kurt Angle versus Undertaker World Heavyweight Title match main event of No Way Out 2006 gets a lot of love and rightfully so. It was an engrossing, well-worked contest between two of the absolute best in the business and helped elevate a middling show into a great one.

What some people tend to forget, however, is that the two men did it all again just two weeks later on free television. The two warriors started out slowly, feeling each other out and participating in the proverbial game of 'human chess', trading strikes and focusing on.

Neither man could gain a true advantage, as after every big move the other guy would come back with something of his own. 'Taker hits a snake eyes and a boot, Angle hits a German suplex and a European uppercut, and so on. It was tense stuff, with the winner never really certain.

There were counters and counters to counters, as the two men combined rugged brawling with smooth technical wrestling. In one particularly inspired sequence, our Olympic Hero countered a chokeslam into an ankle lock in the most fluid fashion. Kurt kicked out of a chokeslam when 'Taker finally hit it, and The Deadman withstood the ankle lock and an Angle slam.

Angle missed his big match moonsault, allowing 'Taker to hit a Tombstone for what would have been a certain three count, had Mark Henry not ran in and ruined it all. A sh*tty finish to a long, competitive match, yes, but it doesn't take anything away from the wonderful work by both beforehand.

Every bit as good as their No Way Out classic, and maybe even a little better.
