8. TLC Brethren Unite

How about this?!

Being honest, Lita reuniting with The Hardys wouldn't have been a given even if she'd put pen to paper on that AEW deal after all, but this is something Matt literally pitched behind the scenes. He wanted to put together a stable comprised of himself, his brother Jeff, Christian Cage and the incoming Adam Copeland.

Matt freely discussed this on his weekly podcast, and opened up on his vision for what the general story might've been. Here's a summary: Matt, Jeff, Christian and Adam would be bonded by their classic TLC wars in the WWF/WWE. Feeling overlooked, they'd have bashed AEW's younger stars for failing to show them proper respect.

In other words, this TLC brethren collective would've played elitist heels akin to WCW's nWo or TNA's Main Event Mafia. It was a fun concept, albeit one Tony Khan and other power players backstage in AEW apparently didn't like enough. Khan had grander plans for Copeland as a solo artist anyway.
