3. Ric Flair Turns On Sting

You've got to give Ric Flair credit for something. The legend loves the spotlight so much that he's always thinking of ways to get involved. Do fans want to see him become a focal point again in 2024? Nah, definitely not, but Ric does have his thinking cap on. He lives for pro wrestling. No-one can claim otherwise.

Thank God he didn't get his way at Revolution 2024, right enough.

Flair wanted to turn on old on/off pal Sting during the icon's retirement match with Darby Allin vs. The Young Bucks. The 'Nature Boy' firmly believed that "the roof would come off" if Stinger locked him in a Scorpion Deathlock once it became clear that Ric wanted to screw him over. This wouldn't have been a one night deal either.

Tony Khan said no to everything, but Flair's pitch had an add-on. He wanted to spin out of Revolution as a full-blown heel, and become a presence on weekly TV for the foreseeable. Say what you want about Tony's habit of letting talent run amok, but he was right to rebuff this.
