10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE In 2015

10. Triple H Vs. The Rock At WrestleMania XXXI

The Theory: The Rock will make one of his rare appearances for WWE in a match against Triple H at WrestleMania XXXI. The Evidence: There's a lot of mileage to this one. The Rock and Triple H were two of the biggest stars during the Attitude Era and had a celebrated feud in 2000. Their matches at Backlash and Judgement Day that year cemented them as two of the best in the business. Behind the scenes, however, there were tensions. The Game and The Great One had what has been referred to a 'professional rivalry'. While never out-and-out hostile to one another, they were hardly the best of friends and very rarely socialised together. Back then, the WWF was a shark tank and everybody was hungry for those lucrative main event spots. Both wrestlers have recently alluded to this in interviews and podcast appearances but the two are much more relaxed towards one another these days. The WWE aired a backstage segment on the October 10th 2014 episode of Smackdown where The Rock and Triple H discussed their past with things getting a little heated and the two arguing over who was the better man. They even mentioned WrestleMania by name (although they didn't mention which one) in what was a very entertaining piece of business. Will It Happen: Possibly. WWE goes all-out for WrestleMania and The Rock versus Triple H will definitely help the show do a huge number, even if it's not promoted as the main event (which it shouldn't be). Both men are still in excellent shape and, despite being a movie star, The Rock still has a passion for the business and would probably be open to working another WrestleMania. However, The Rock's upcoming schedule is loaded as it is and Triple H is tentatively pencilled in to work a match with Sting on the night. Plans could always change, but this one has more chance of happening at next year's WrestleMania than it does of happening this year.
