10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE In 2015

3. They Will Raid TNA For Former Stars

The Theory: WWE will raid the ailing TNA for some of their former stars. The Evidence: TNA is just barely hanging in there at the moment. They have left their home of ten years, Spike TV, moving to Destination America, a channel with a fraction of the audience of Spike. They are very much a part-time organisation at present and haven't run a full schedule of shows for months now. It's not hard to see why: the money isn't there and, even if they wanted to run shows, attendances have traditionally been very poor. TNA attracted just a few hundred fans to their TV tapings recently, which is a worrying sign. So what better time for WWE to recruit members of their roster who are looking for work? Some former TNA stars, like Rob Van Dam, have returned to WWE in recent years but there are still some members of the TNA roster who WWE would either like to have or could definitely use. Kurt Angle, The Hardy's, Bully Ray and Gail Kim would all be welcome additions to the WWE roster. They're all still young and good enough to compete at the WWE level. If TNA continues the way they're going, these performers could be looking for work later in the year. Will It Happen: Stranger things have happened. TNA could very well cease to exist later this year which is bad for wrestling fans but could be good for WWE, as far as talented suddenly becoming available. WWE may not want these former stars, however, as they look to prepare for the future and focus on youth like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Even if WWE did approach these former stars, whose to say that they would want to return anyway? Jeff Hardy notoriously hated the WWE schedule and travel and Kurt Angle is looking to retire within the next year or two.
