5. Daniel Bryan Will Officially Retire
The Theory: That Daniel Bryan will be forced to accept the WWE doc's orders and retire from active in-ring competition. The Evidence: . Poor D-Bry has been on the sidelines an awful lot recently, having suffered a neck injury in June 2014 which put him out for the rest of the year. The upshot was that Bryan was stripped of the WWE Title, just 64 days into his reign. History repeated itself in 2015 when Bryan was forced to once again take time away from the ring. Bryan hasn't wrestled for WWE since their spring tour of the UK, when he suffered another in a long line of concussions. Bryan has been waiting for WWE to clear him ever since and he has made it explicit that his doctor has said he is fine to return to action. Obviously, WWE aren't so convinced, and recenlty offered Bryan jobs as both a commentator and a trainer as a way to steer him away from doing flying headbutts and suicide dives. Bryan doesn't want to quit, though, and has intimated that he hasn't wrestled his last match. Unfortunately for him, that's a decision that might not be in his hands. Will It Happen: There's so much confusion and secrecy (from WWE's side) over the Bryan situation that there must be something more to it. WWE would hardly keep a draw like Bryan on the bench if he was fit and healthy so either they're waiting until the 34-year-old is properly cleared or they're convinced he never will be and is a liability. If Bryan doesn't get the all-clear from WWE in 2016, he might have to face the fact that his career there is over. Would he then go back to the hard-hitting independents like Ring of Honor or New Japan? Bryan loves wrestling, but the risk just might not be worth the reward, considering the battering his body has taken for the past fifteen years.
