10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE In 2016
4. Reigns Vs. Lesnar II Headlines WrestleMania 32
The Theory: That WWE will present the same WrestleMania main event for the second year in a row - Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns. The Evidence: At time of writing we're fast approaching the Royal Rumble and the WrestleMania card is still anyone's guess. However, there are some major matches that have been rumoured that seem to make sense, at lesst on paper. Those include John Cena versus The Undertaker and, yes, Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar. The Big Dog and the Beast Incarnate put on a thriller at WrestleMania 31, something that was largely overshadowed thanks to Seth Rollins' shocking cash-in and title win. With Reigns seemingly set to march into Dallas as WWE Champion (WWE can't have him fail again by losing it in the interim) and Lesnar a hot favourite to win the Royal Rumble, that would set up Reigns versus Lesnar II for AT&T Stadium on April 3rd rather nicely. With major names like The Rock, Steve Austin and Ronda Rosey ruled out, do WWE have a bigger match than Reigns versus Lesnar? Will It Happen: There's always Undertaker versus John Cena, but that's not a sure thing and could easily fail to live up to the immense expectations it would bring. WWE knows Lesnar and Reigns can deliver a proper main event, since they did just that in 2015. However, will they be keen to repeat a 'Mania main event two years in a row? The only other time they have dared to do so was with The Rock and John Cena, two names that were guaranteed to draw in some of the casual fans. It would be fair to say that Reigns and Lesnar do not have that ability. Still, it looks like this is the way WWE are going (or at least towards something similar). There are few who wouldn't have been shocked if you had have told them this time last year that Reigns versus Lesnar would main event two WrestleManias in a row...
