3. NXT Replacing SmackDown
The Theory: WWE will end SmackDown and replace it with NXT. The Evidence: Dave Meltzer has said that from January that interesting changes will be coming to SmackDown. This is expected to be nothing more than a new look as the show moves to USA Network. Theres also going to be a range of new ideas, while the first months two are going to be loaded with main event quality. But what if the interesting changes went beyond just a new look? One rumour is that WWE have at least talked internally about switching NXT and Smackdown. The blue brand would become a Network show, and the yellow brand would be expanded into a main attraction on television. Will It Happen? I, for one, sincerely hope not. WWE have created something truly special with NXT which should not be tampered with. SmackDown, however, does need some radical work done to it as it's become nothing more than a RAW highlights show.
