10 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE Right Now
2. Seth Rollins Beating CM Punk's Run As WWE World Heavyweight Champion
The Theory: WWE are going to have Seth Rollins break CM Punk's record run as WWE World Heavyweight Championship to stick it to the Straight Edge Superstar. The Evidence: There's speculation that WWE are simply doing the with Seth Rollins what they did with Nikki Bella. Bella broke AJ Lee's - CM Punk's wife, remember - record as Divas Champion before dropping the title a few short days later. It's nothing more than a blatant attempt to erase a notable recent record from WWE history, all because the company fell out with the performer who set it. It's all a bit petty really. The early favourite for the main event of next year's WrestleMania is Rollins vs. Reigns vs. Ambrose, with The Architect defending the title for what could possibly be the 1,000,000th time by that point. If he does make it through to Mania, Rollins will be very close to Punk's record of 434 days with the belt. Seth has held the title of 193 days now meaning he will have 371 days under his belt by the time Mania comes around. Will It Happen? WWE have shown they can be rather petty when it comes to former employees who have badmouthed them so it's certainly a possibility. And in Rollins they certainly have someone who is growing into the role as THE man more and more by the week.
