WWE as well as its wrestlers are very secretive about payoffs for contracts and events. Hardly ever is any of that information made available to the public. WWE doesn’t want anyone seeing that data as it could affect future contract negotiations with talent.

Due to Ultimate Warrior and Vince McMahon’s sour relationship around SummerSlam 1991 with Warrior’s fierce negotiations to be paid the same as Hulk Hogan going forward, the payroll sheet for the event was seen and released.

The payroll highlighted some fascinating facts and figures for how some talent were compensated for the significant PPV. Interesting titbits were revealed, such as Miss Elizabeth earning much more than outstanding talents Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect and The Undertaker combined, with $50,000 for her “A Match Made in Heaven" on-screen wedding to Randy Savage at the event.

Or despite Warrior holding up Vince for more money and to be paid equal to Hogan before the PPV, Vince still shrewdly paid Hogan more with a $15,000 bonus on top of his $75,000 payday for that one night.

Also of note Superstars who didn’t even work the show and were listed as ‘stand-by’ wrestlers like ‘Superfly’ Jimmy Snuka and ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan and were paid more than the dark match competitors Koko B. Ware and Kato.
