9. The Original WrestleMania XXX Card
WWE aren’t too pleased when official documents leak. On occasion, official papers are anonymously uploaded online, with fans and wrestling journalists rapidly dissecting them. One of these documents came right from ‘The Voice of the Voiceless’ CM Punk, a wrestler who doesn’t hold his tongue when it comes to talking about the inner workings of WWE, with the company not being able to punish or penalize him given he quit the promotion the night after Royal Rumble (2014) after being frustrated and fed up with creative.
In early January 2020 Punk, on his Instagram Story of all places, leaked the original WrestleMania XXX card which confirmed a long-standing rumour that he was meant to face Triple H that night. It also confirmed WWE originally booked Daniel Bryan to wrestle Sheamus in a simple singles match at the PPV, which would have been their third time wrestling on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’.
It also revealed it had a battle of the giants with Big Show vs. Kane planned at one time and remarkably showed WWE were originally going to break up The Shield sooner than planned, with Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns for the US title pencilled in.
