5. Vince McMahon On Chris Benoit

On June 25 2007, Vince McMahon opened Raw and called Chris Benoit "One of the greatest WWE superstars of all time." This was in the immediacy of police finding Benoit dead at his home, with his wife and child also deceased. WWE cancelled that night's Raw and held a Benoit tribute show instead, presuming that some terrible accidental tragedy had taken place. During the course of that show, the truth emerged. Benoit had killed his wife and child, before committing suicide. Just three days after praising Benoit as one of WWE's best, McMahon went on NBC News and said "This man was a monster."
