7. The Ready To Rumble Scene

Ready To Rumble was a big budget Hollywood film released in the year 2000. Made in cooperation with WCW it starred several wrestlers and revolved around two normal kids getting involved with pro wrestling. The plot was convoluted beyond that and the whole production was presented in a horribly cheesy fashion as if WCW was real combat. With a $24 million budget the film went on to gross only $12 million in worldwide box office. Just a year after release, WCW was out of business. The Sting scene (see above) is pretty representative of the god awfulness. There's some sort of gay pun joke which is just cringe, "We are men, but we are not afraid to say we love other men" the antagonist says. Sting's face then contorts in a way to suggest the thought of that makes him sick, which obviously would be quite the no-no in today's modern climate. WWE for example are one of the biggest advocates against stuff like this in the NO H8 campaign. The video finishes with Sting beating the men down for the comment.
