Sting is unlikely to ever have came up against something so unprofessional. Just an hour before the scheduled main event Hardy was nowhere to be found. When TNA officials did track him down, they found a physically and mentally 'out of it' performer. They had to carry him from his trailer to the gorilla position,
stated a TNA observer backstage. The match never should have gone live but TNA went ahead anyway. Eric Bischoff went to the ring and put forth a 'No Dq' stipulation to try and cover the main event, but it was no use, Hardy was clearly on another planet. The whole match was nothing more than a couple of minutes, Sting eventually having to shoot hold Hardy down in order to end the debacle. You can tell the veteran was furious by the look on his face. Loud chants of "bullsh**' rang out and Sting apologised to fans on his way to the back.
