5. Saying He Was Against Joining WWE

Now that he's embarking into work with Vince McMahon he isn't going to want it broadcast that he once called into question McMahon's booking capabilities. Skip along to 2.50 - 3.40 of the above video in which the Stinger details his lack of faith in the way WWE books former WCW talents. He states that he wouldn't join the WWE after the way they treated fellow WCW alumni, which obviously now contradicts the fact he is about to sign. Perhaps Sting forgot the way Booker T got buried or the way the cruiserweights were made to compete (and lose) against midgets. Ultimately though, was WWE ever going to be any worse than the creative Sting endured in WCW? It doesn't add up that he says he turned WWE down over creative worries. The fact he has spent much of the last decade in TNA (a creative black hole) suggests he really wasn't that much worried about booking at all. Money and the number of dates may have played a far bigger role than he wants to admit.
