8. Reid Flair

The death of a family member is one of the most heartbreaking things to deal with in life, especially when that death comes under tragic circumstances at an early age.

Reid Flair died in March 2013 as a result of an apparent heroin overdose. At just 25 years old, Reid had been training with All Japan Pro Wrestling and had barely scratched the surface of the family business when he passed away. His family were naturally distraught at the untimely loss, including father Ric and sister Charlotte, who were both part of WWE TV at the time.

Ever the compassionate ones, WWE would make passing reference to this tragedy in a disgustingly needless remark as a means of furthering the Charlotte/Paige feud for the Divas Championship. Charlotte had declared the reason she was in the WWE was to fulfil her late brother's dream. In response, Paige was given the line "Your little baby brother, he didn't have much fight in him did he?"

Cheap heat if there ever was, it was another low tactic for WWE. To make matters worse, WWE had allegedly not forewarned the family or asked permission to go to such depths prior to the segment airing.
