10 Shocking WWE Babyface Burials You Totally Don't Remember

EC3 was a peculiar signing for WWE in 2018, though it spoke to the success of the former Derrick Bateman's ability to completely reinvent himself away from the constraints of the company that he found his way back there.

Re-debuting on NXT, he was about as far away from his original persona as the black-and-gold brand was from the NXT Redemption sideshow he'd left years earlier. He didn't particularly fit, either - the show was still mostly about the super-workers, and he was a slight notch below.

This shouldn't have mattered when he got an early 2019 call-up, but going 50/50 with a departing Dean Ambrose sprayed the writing on the wall in human sh*t. The matches sucked too, which only compounded a problem made worse by a brutal Braun Strowman squash on an April Raw.

EC3 ran and ran and ran, while 'The Monster Among Men' punched and kicked and threw until 'The 1%' found himself 100% f*cked thanks to a chokeslam through the Raw stage.
