Unlike the prior chap, Chris Kanyon did stay on the other side of the barrier. That didn't make his shocking house show moment any less controversial though. On 8 September 2006, DX members Triple H and Shawn Michaels were readying themselves for back-to-back bouts vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch then Charlie Haas and Viscera.

Before the bell, Kanyon rushed to the barrier and held up a sign that said, "Triple H: Ask Vince Why He Fired Me" on one side and, "Shawn: Pray For My Gay Soul" on the other. Hunter acknowledged this during his pre-match promo and asked the live crowd in Tampa who invited ex-WWE star Kanyon.

Despite what some might've thought, this wasn't a work. Kanyon was in a very bad place mentally at the time, and things were only going to get worse. Christ knows what people in Florida thought when they witnessed this random-as-all-hell cameo.

Kanyon's story is really rather tragic.
