A lot can be said about 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, but nobody can doubt his dedication to the wrestling business. This was a guy that lived his gimmick and gave 100% every time he stepped foot in the ring, be it a match, angle or interview. Savage was one-of-a-kind and would subject himself to things that most others likely wouldn't for the sake of his art. For an example of Savage's dedication to wrestling look no further than the angle between him, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and Roberts' King Cobra, Lucifer. Following a routine squash match victory, Roberts (who had ruined the recently-retired Savage's wedding reception) goaded Savage into the ring. Roberts attacked the Macho Man and tied his arms up in the ring ropes. What happened next was truly frightening: Roberts unleashed his cobra on Savage's arm. The snake sunk its (venomoid) fangs in deep. So deep, in fact, that Roberts had trouble pulling the snake off of Savage. The biting went on for longer than it should and Savage bled. Angles this realistic very, very rarely played out on WWF television at the time. Only those the stature of Roberts and Savage could get away with it.
