Jeff Hardy has been involved in his fair share of realistic matches and moments in WWE. Any time Jeff was involved in a ladder match, there was usually a bump or stunt that left the viewer worried for the risk-taker's wellbeing. Jeff's years of reckless bumping and consistent performances had endeared him to the WWE universe and his popularity was such that he was booked to win the WWE Championship at Armageddon 2008. Jeff's first feud was with former champion Edge and things got off to a fiery start. Hardy was scheduled to be a guest on The Cutting Edge but while making his entrance his trademark pyro went awry and the majority of it exploded too close to him. Jeff stumbled and then collapsed as brother Matt, Jimmy Yang, Gregory Helms and R-Truth came out to his aide. Even Edge, who Jeff was feuding with at the time, looked concerned as he was wheeled out on a stretcher. The crowd were eerily quiet as the whole episode was unfolding, adding to the realism to of it all.
