A rift in the Authority has been teased for quite some time, especially with how Kane has been treated in recent weeks. Seth Rollins basically presented Kane as that big guy who doesnt really do much, and he was berated this past week on RAW to the point that he has teased leaving the Authority. However, if theres one person who should leave the Authority instead, it should be the Big Show. It makes sense to keep Kane as part of the Authority because WWE seems hell-bent on perpetuating some kind of authority figure in WWE, and Kanes role as Director of Operations (whatever that means) is the only one on the show while Triple H and Stephanie McMahon arent on the show. For Big Show, however, the Authority hasnt yielded any particular successes for him. While some might point to his victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, that has nothing to do with his association with the powers that be. What he DID gain from allying with the Authority was a huge number of losses (including dozens to Roman Reigns alone), and has truly lost that unstoppable giant presentation he once had. As a sort of twist, Big Show should be the one to split from the Authority instead of Kane, by attacking both the Authority AND whomever theyre victimizing at Extreme Rules. This doesnt necessarily mean turning Show face, because that happens way too often. Instead, Show should only look after himself, and enjoy one last hurrah before retiring. He has done it all in WWE, and finishing his career as a pro-Authority suck-up is not how hit stellar career should end.
