Christ, this happened last year and it's already forgotten.

Former Forgotten (ha) Sons leader Jaxson Ryker became Elias' pal in late-2020. WWE didn't bother to flesh his role out with much context. Nah, it was preferable to have Jax stand around in the background like a bouncer as Eli strummed his guitar and encouraged fans to shut their mouths.

That was never going to last. The sort of/almost/kinda tag-team headed for Splitsville by May 2021 when Elias ran out on Ryker during a match against AJ Styles and Omos. After that, the promotion began playing up Jaxson's military background and rethought him as a proud ex-Marine who couldn't stomach his old pal's bullsh*t any longer.

This all boiled down to the most mini of mini-pushes. Ryker toppled his one-time musical chum in both a 'Strap Match' and a 'Symphony Of Destruction' bout between June-July on Raw, then...WWE threw the towel in on his ascension and mired Jax on Main Event until releasing him come November.
