10 Short-Lived WWE Pushes You’ve Totally Forgotten

OK, so this one is cheating slightly, but WWE's current version of Otis is almost an entirely different wrestler to 2020's ham-loving funster. Alpha Academy's Otis is described as a wrecking ball who's all business when the bell rings. Two years ago though, the guy just wanted Mandy Rose.

Man, 2020 was a fever dream.

Otis did so well as a socially-awkward, body-proud babyface that he started outgrowing his Heavy Machinery partner Tucker and motored up the cards. WWE noticed how much traction he was gaining, and they decided to back Otis by booking him to win Money In The Bank.

That's when the fun stopped.

Like many other lovable faces before him, Otis struggled once he had everything he'd craved. He nabbed the briefcase, and he even scored Mandy as his unlikely girlfriend. WWE lost interest from there, scripted him to lose his MITB privileges and generally started phoning it in on the dude's career.
