Continuing the trend of Brock Lesnar matches on live WWE Network specials, it all started with Beast in the East in July 2015, a show built around Brock's first match in Japan in nearly a decade.

His opponent? None other than Kofi Kingston.

Lesnar wrestling Kingston in what was essentially a televised house show in Japan could have easily been the headline of an article on Kayfabe News; it was that outrageous on paper. However, it was also an absolute blast for the two and a half minutes it lasted for.

The New Day were just finding their footing as a faction around that time and were settling into their roles as pest heels. Thus, Kingston was the perfect person to go in there and bump around the ring for the former WWE World Heavyweight champion, who still had his WrestleMania 31 defeat fresh in his mind.

Not only did Lesnar win with ease, he brutalized Big E and Xavier Woods with F5s afterward as well for good measure.

This match (or massacre, whichever you prefer) simply served as a preview of what was to come at Battleground later that month, where Lesnar was set to invoke his automatic rematch clause for the championship he never lost against Seth Rollins.
