10 Shortest WrestleMania Matches Of All Time

9. Legion Of Doom Vs. Power & Glory - WrestleMania VII (59 Seconds)

The Road Warriors returned to the World Wrestling Federation in the summer of 1990, and WrestleMania VII in 1991 marked their debut at the event. Christened the Legion of Doom (or Legion of Dummies, if you are Bobby Heenan), they ran through their opponents with thrilling intensity. Dominant squash matches were their business and the coffers were full (to put it mildly). At WrestleMania VII, Hawk and Animal came up against the team of Hercules and Paul Roma, better known as Power & Glory. The duo were something of a stepping stone team, in that they were credible enough to have competitive matches against the babyface teams in the division, but they were never treated as a threat to the titles or anything. Needless to say, their battle against LOD at WMVII was anything but competitive. The pre-match promo from Hawk and Animal is almost as long as the match itself. Power & Glory attack LOD as the bell sounds, but less than a minute later Roma is falling to the Doomsday Device as Hercules stumbles around like a drunk on the outside. Peculiarly, Herc just sort of watches the pin as opposed to, y'know, attempting to make the save or something.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
