10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns
7. Triple H: 2 Hours
Triple H may have been the man to strip Bryan of the WWE title, but he's no stranger to short reigns himself.
After Cena was forced to vacate the WWE championship in the midst of a 13 month reign, due to a torn pectoral muscle, the title was declared vacant at the start of No Mercy 2007. What followed was one of the best bizarre, albeit entertaining evenings in WWE history.
After Randy Orton was handed the title by Mr McMahon, HHH promptly won it from him in the first match of the night (more on that part of the story later). Triple H then successfully defended the belt against Umaga later in the night.
Hunter's night wasn't done, however, as Orton invoked his rematch clause for the title in the main event. In a Last Man Standing match, Orton ultimately hit an RKO through a table and HHH was unable to answer the ten count. Orton left with the title and Triple H with the shortest of his 13 world championship reigns.
