Time: 9 minutes.

Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar promised a lot. The Beast was still sick after losing the WWE Championship through Rollins’ WrestleMania cash-in, but a lengthy suspension forced him to bide his time. The build-up saw Lesnar reinstated by The Authority, then breaking Jamie Noble’s arm, and suplexing Joey Mercury through a car windshield, before breaking Kane’s ankle at the contract signing.

The stage was set for a perfect PPV main event, but that’s not how it panned out. Lesnar smashed Rollins with thirteen German suplexes and an F5, but he couldn’t complete the pinfall. The lights went out as Lesnar made the cover, and when they flipped back on, The Undertaker returned for some streak-breaking vengeance.

A Chokeslam and two Tombstone Piledrivers meant a disqualification victory for Rollins, and a tough night for Lesnar. The main event served well to set-up Lesnar’s eventual SummerSlam match with The Deadman, and he and Rollins worked hard prior to the interference. Still, it was hard not to feel shortchanged: these are two of WWE’s most exciting wrestlers, and they haven’t been given the chance to have a more substantial match since.
