Time: 8 minutes, 50 seconds.

WWE’s turn of the century UK PPVs rarely felt like anything more than televised house shows. They were usually fun and entertaining, but they provided few significant developments, and were never treated with particular importance.

Rebellion 2000 came live from Sheffield, and it fit the formula to a tee. The show was headlined by a WWE Championship match between Kurt Angle, Rikishi, Steve Austin, and The Rock, and in the midst of Rikishi’s horrendous heel turn, they foursome put on a decent little match.

Interferences from Edge & Christian and The Radicalz prevented Stone Cold from seizing victory over the man who mowed him down, and Kurt Angle walked-out the winner. It’s not the kind of match that’ll blow you away, but for a short, lightning-paced main event between three major stars (and Rikishi), it’s worth your while.

The match’s short runtime came with a good reason: all four participants would participate in a gruelling six-man Hell In A Cell match at Armageddon just eight days later. They were likely saving their bodies for the big occasion, and in Rikishi’s case, falling from the cell and onto a flatbed truck.
