10 SICK & TWISTED Wrestling Funerals

4. Aces & Eights End It All With Some HEAT

For all their many, many failings before the a*se fell out completely in the 2010s, TNA were occasionally very good at big daft ideas as long as a logical conclusion wasn't necessarily required.

Aces & Eights were perhaps the last great example of this.

A stable rooted in mystery and sneak attacks and rampant plagiarism, for all the Sons Of Anarchy knock-off was dated and cheesy, it was also quite effective in getting a bunch of fairly small-time guys over as a headline concern underneath the purview of their mystery leader.

Furthermore, when said leader was revealed as Bully Ray as part of his plot to become TNA World Heavyweight Champion, they appeared broadly effective. Unfortunately the only way was down after this objective had been achieved, and the comedy-obsessed company booked a bunch of babyfaces to p*ss on the proverbial and literal graves of the gang after an elimination tag match ended them for good.

A desponded Bully Ray crashed the party claiming all sorts of ways in which his life was down the sh*tter as result of all this hilarity, but his heavy-hearted cadence wasn't topping Mike Tenay's quality mocking of Taz' stench during his time in the gang's leather vest.
