10 Signings That Could Have Saved TNA
4. Daniel Bryan
In 2005, rumors went around that TNA was interested in Bryan Danielson. But they never offered him a deal. Oh what could have been.
It was obviously a huge mistake that they didn’t pick him up at that time, but they had until 2009 to make him any sort of offer. While he was in Ring of Honor, that company had a reputation of letting their talents leave if they received a better deal from WWE or TNA. It likely would not have taken much at all to bring Bryan in.
TNA obviously wouldn’t have pushed him as a top star those first couple years, but he likely would have had stellar matches in the X Division and quickly made a name for himself. And due to his incredible charisma and likability, perhaps even their often inept management team would have eventually realized he needed to be their top babyface .
Really it boils down to simple math. Subtract Bryan from WWE before his “Yes” movement, and add some of that excitement over to TNA, and the company would definitely be in a much better state today.
