10 Signings That Could Have Saved TNA

5. Chris Jericho

In 2007, Chris Jericho flirted with the idea of joining TNA, perhaps more seriously than he let on.

Not only did he meet with Dixie Carter, but he lent some of Fozzy’s songs to promote their pay-per-views. It seemed like he was about to join the company at any time. He never did, but if he had, it likely would have been pretty damn entertaining.

Just imagine the work Jericho could have done with Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles in the ring and on the mic nearly a decade ago. Y2J has shown time and again that he has no problem putting over other people, meaning unlike so many of the WWE castoffs who came into TNA, he would have actually helped the company grow.

An extra boost with Jericho in any company is that the man is heavily involved in his own storylines, and is given a lot of credit for one of the best feuds in decades with Shawn Michaels. We can only imagine what angles he would have sunk his teeth into in TNA.

Unfortunately, someone in TNA (we won't name names) was a stupid idiot and didn't try harder to bring him onboard!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
