7. Triple H Reconciles With Chyna

When Triple H and Chyna embraced at WrestleMania XV following a disqualification loss to Kane, the whole scene was received as one of the most emotional reunions of the year.

'The Ninth Wonder Of The World' had abandoned D-Generation X for The Corporation months earlier, but turning on Kane appeared to signpost her return to the fold. It was instead an entirely different plot hiding in plain sight.

Realising that she'd simply spotted the right move before him, Triple H had in fact secretly joined The Corporation, as revealed when he turned on X-Pac in his contest against Shane McMahon. Kane was a perfect pawn in the whole plan too - 'The Big Red Machine' was acting under duress as a McMahon henchmen, drawing immediate sympathy once the full extent of the plot had been revealed.

That it started with a Philadelphia crowd erupting for a tender embrace was an underrated significant achievement.
