10 Signs Your Favourite Wrestler Was Turning Heel
4. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks Dunk On The Drunk
For much of the early days of Hangman Page and Kenny Omega's Tag Team Title run, AEW served up an epic bum steer in how the team would eventually collapse.
In the original months before the Elite pair struck gold, Page had been an absent figure amongst the figureheads. Nursing bruised pride after losses to Chris Jericho and Pac as well as the The Young Bucks rejecting his request to accompany him to the ring at All Out 2019, Hangman appeared to be the heel.
But this storyline was about something bigger, bolder and braver.
It was during the build to Revolution 2020 against Matt and Nick Jackson that a 3-on-1 dynamic emerged, and at Page's expense. Kenny negged their team to put over The Bucks, the original Elite took issue with Hangman's drinking and his increasingly reasonable anger with the situation. An all-time classic at the pay-per-view only informed it further with textures almost entirely unseen in North American wrestling history.
