10 Silliest Wrestling Injuries Of All Time

2. X-Pac Literally Rips Himself A New One

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPC2fzWr-E0 Wrestling veteran Jerry Lynn€™s retirement showcase in Minneapolis in March 2013 was, by all accounts, a well-attended and well-produced send-off for such a talented performer €“ and yet it€™ll remain famous for something completely different: the time a former member of D-Generation X caused himself a significant, and significantly embarrassing, injury. Sean €˜X-Pac€™ Waltman was part of the stunt-filled Fatal Fourway match with Lynn that headlined the card, and performed several of his signature moves during the course of the exciting bout. Unfortunately, one of those moves was the Bronco Buster, a move he missed as his intended victim moved out of the way. That much was part of the plan. Waltman ripping his own anus open on the turnbuckle was not. The incident itself is only 27 seconds or so into the above clip, and don€™t panic €“ there€™s no gore. The same could not be said for later on in the evening when, gushing with blood from the torn orifice, Waltman would find himself hospitalised and undergoing emergency surgery to prevent himself needing a colostomy bag for the rest of his life. Fortunately, there were no lasting ill effects as far as we know. Waltman himself found the incident funny even a few days later, tweeting a self-deprecating graphic step-by-step account while lying in what we can only imagine was some considerable pain the night of his release from hospital. Oh, and he not only finished the match as planned, but stayed at the end long enough to deliver his friend Lynn a thank you speech along with everyone else, saying afterwards, €œI did the X-Factor from the top rope and one through a table after it happened. My concern was Jerry getting the proper send off, not my butthole.€ We would like to take this opportunity to wish Sin Cara€™s finger a full recovery.
