10 Silliest Wrestling Injuries Of All Time

1. Vince McMahon Blows Both Quads In The Same Night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_4eGC2VkBc The night of the Royal Rumble in January 2005, Dave Batista was scripted to beat John Cena. The final two in the ring, each battled to hoist the other out and earn a shot at the title at Wrestlemania 21 two months later... but that€™s just not how the main event initially ended. The Animal and Cena fell over the rope at the same time, and their feet hit the floor together €“ it€™s still unclear from the footage exactly which one of them botched the manoeuvre, but given that neither is the most agile of men, and both had and still have a reputation for clumsiness, it could have been either or both. Whatever the case, the boss came thundering out to the ring, fully in character, to save the show and relay the restart orders directly to the participants. Unfortunately, while getting into the ring McMahon would blow out the quadriceps tendon in his right leg, causing him to collapse like a puppet with its strings cut when he tried to stand up, and leaving him sat on his ass in the ring in considerable pain, attempting to stay in character and do what he€™d come out to do. Now, it€™s commonly thought that McMahon blew both quads at the same time, but here€™s where the story goes from being amusing to being all-out hilarious €“ his other leg was actually fine until later on, when leaving the arena. The story goes that Vince refused any and all offers of help to leave the building, insisting on walking outside under his own steam, and promptly blew the quad in his left leg as well. In a pre-Wrestlemania magazine interview a few weeks later, McMahon would put the double injury down to failing to stretch sufficiently prior to attempting what he called €œa stunt€. Dude, if you call entering the ring or walking to your car a €˜stunt€™, what exactly do you call what happens in a TLC match? Do you know of another silly, funny or embarrassing in-ring injury that should be on this list? Let us know in the comments!
