10 Sleaziest Ever TNA Moments

10. Hiring Test

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGJhGslKgXA There was a time when it seemed that any WWE mid-carder who was released from their contract would eventually show up in TNA. Now, it's understandable why the company would want someone like Kurt Angle or Christian when they became available, but Test? In 2007, the wrestling world was shaken when Chris Benoit murdered his wife and young child, and then later killed himself. Something had to change. There were far too many early deaths in the industry. The sport had to get clean. It appeared that WWE was starting to finally understand this message, but not TNA. Andrew "Test" Martin had been suspended a few months earlier for violating the WWE wellness policy. He decided to quit. At that point, it was scary how big and muscular he had become. He showed up in TNA that September, just months after the Benoit tragedy, when promoters should have been looking out for the well-being of their talent. TNA failed at this miserably. Test debuted for them, and he was bigger than ever. Despite his physique being a glaring red flag, he was placed into a top program. He only lasted a couple matches. He was let go when it was reported that Congress was looking into TNA and WWE due to all the wrestler deaths. TNA didn't want anyone on their roster who would call any attention to them. So, they let him go. Within two years Test passed away due to overdosing on pain killers at the age of 33. It's too bad that someone didn't try to give him help, instead of a job.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
