10 Sleaziest Ever TNA Moments

9. Not Taking Care of Daffney

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfVHl0FkH9Y The Knockouts division has almost always been horribly treated in TNA. There were many times that the women were drawing the highest ratings on the show despite not being in the main events. And to add further insult, they were making only a fraction of the money that the men were. One of those Knockouts was the talented Daffney who was given a shot in TNA after WCW folded. Her first night there? She participated in a match where a bunch of women were dressed in pajamas, and the losers were stripped down to their underwear. This pretty much set the tone for the division the first few years. Eventually, Dutch Mantell (WWE's Zeb Colter) came in and revamped the Knockouts division. It was no longer solely about looks, as an influx of talented women who were skilled in-ring workers were brought in. Daffney was given another chance, and though she originally had to play a Sarah Palin knockoff, she eventually changed back to her original crazy chick role. Daffney's body took more punishment than any woman in the company had received to that point. She received a concussion when Abyss chokeslammed her through a barbed wire table at Bound for Glory. She suffered another one when she was injured at the hands of Miss Betsy in a dark match, along with a bruised sternum. Daffney also lost a first blood match, and match of "10,000 tacks." What other Knockout had to go through half of that? To thank her for sacrificing her body, TNA released her. Oh, and Daffney still owed a lot of money in medical bills, from the injuries she sustained in the company. According to her lawsuit, she owed over $26,000 for just the hospital visit after her Bound for Glory match alone. Eventually, the two sides settled out of court and Daffney seemed pleased with the outcome. But it's a shame that it ever had to get to that point in the first place.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
