10 Small WWE Character Tweaks That Became DISASTERS!

9. Liv Morgan Palms Off Fan Unrest

Big Show The Authority Why

Liv Morgan's Money In The Bank cash in on Ronda Rousey at the titular PLE in 2022 was fab. Fans enjoyed the moment, and hopes were high that Liv would finally live up to her potential as a breakout star. Where's that meme of the bird saying, 'Wouldn't it be a shame if SOMEONE ruined it' when you need it?

WWE screwed themselves almost immediately.

At SummerSlam, Liv survived vs. Ronda by the skin of her teeth when the referee counted a pin right before Morgan tapped out to a submission. The live crowd found it confusing and poorly executed, but surely Liv could move on quickly. Not so fast. She doubled down on tapping out by claiming it was deliberate. Huh?

The messy pay-per-view finish and doubling down combo made Morgan look foolish. This sort of decision-making wrecked her otherwise promising babyface title run as SmackDown Women's Champ. WWE probably wish they could have the 5 August episode back, because they didn't do their new champion any favours whatsoever.

At least Liv has gone on to bigger and better things in 2024, but this was rough and ruined her title reign.
