10 Smart Decisions WWE Made At WrestleMania 30 & Raw

5. Brock Lesnar Defeating The Undertaker To End The Streak

This is one of those things that a lot of people didn't like, but it was smart of WWE to do it. Why? Because it got people talking. It created a buzz. Raw ratings were up significantly and chances are that this match result were a big reason why. There's a question of who came up with the idea to end the streak. The common belief is that it was The Undertaker who suggested it. It makes sense from his perspective. He's nearly 50 years old and likely doesn't have more than a few matches left in his career. Perhaps this was his last match. We don't know that yet. Maybe he knows. Maybe he doesn't. All we can really do is speculate at this point. By having Lesnar beat the streak, they have built him up to be one of the most dangerous men in the history of WWE. That's a valuable commodity to have because when Lesnar has his next match, whenever that may be, the person that beats him is going to be a big deal. That's the value in ending The Streak. Whether fans are happy about it is another story altogether. For now all we can do is accept it, move on and hope that WWE books Lesnar the right way because when he puts over a younger wrestler (like a Reigns or Cesaro) it will be a huge moment for that guy. And it's all because The Streak came to an end.
