10 Spine-Tingling UFC Homecomings
1. Conor McGregor (Ireland, UFC Fight Night: McGregor Vs Brandao)
Depending on which side of the Conor McGregor argument you reside in, you'll either adore his place at number one on this list or rue the day that he ever stepped foot in the UFC.
Regardless of your feelings towards Mystic Mac, one thing cannot be disputed. He is Ireland through and through.
From speaking in his native tongue to naming his own Irish whiskey (Proper 12) after his Crumlin neighborhood, Dublin 12, the man lives and breathes his country.
So, when he returned to Dublin for the first time since becoming a UFC starlet, you can probably guess what level of reaction greeted him.
Swaggering to the Octagon, whilst being serenaded by a mash-up of the traditional Gaelic sounds of his country in the form of 'Foggy Dew' and his usual anthem of Hypnotize by The Notorious B.I.G., the Dublin fans elevated their man to the level of unstoppable on the night.
What followed was a typical McGregor first round knockout of the unfortunate carcass that was Diego Brandao and one of the loudest celebratory parties to ever take place in a UFC arena.
There's a reason that many still crave to see The Notorious one return to the Octagon and it's because of spine-tingling moments like this that fans are thankful we only have to wait a few more months for his impending reemergence in January 2020.
