10 Spine-Tingling UFC Homecomings
9. Anderson Silva (Brazil, UFC 153)
The Spider has generated his fair share of deafening crowd reactions over the years, but you'd be hard pressed to find another instance where he ignited an audience into joyous approval in quite the same way he did at UFC 153.
Returning to his native Brazil as a UFC fighter for the second time, Anderson Silva completely humiliated Stephan Bonnar in a Light Heavyweight bout (despite being the current Middleweight Champion) and ducked and dived his way to a first round TKO victory.
It was a sight that fans had become increasingly used to.
Silva walks into the Octagon. Embarrasses top class fighter. Leaves.
This deeply personal homecoming was made that little bit more important when it came to pass that it'd mark the last victory Silva would earn before he'd lose his title to Chris Weidman, thus ending his record-setting run as Middleweight champ.
Silva had made the jump up to Light Heavyweight to save the event from collapse - after multiple stars had withdrawn due to injury - and his native Brazilian supporters all revelled in the apex of Silva's game-changing streak.
