10 Spine-Tingling UFC Homecomings

8. Israel Adesanya (Australasia, UFC 243)

This one may be stretching the parameters of our chosen homecomings from that of country to continent, but Israel Adesanya's mesmerising return to Australasia at UFC 243 had to find its way onto this list.

From his audacious dance routine on-route to the Octagon to the rousing reception he received after his hand was lifted for the victory, everything about the fans response towards the new champion screamed 'welcome back.'

The event was obviously doubly special as it showcased two Australasian fighters in the main event for the Middleweight gold, with Robert Whittaker coming into the bout as champ. So, who better to share such a monumental occasion with than the rampant fans of the continent in question.

Adesanya's high energy praise post-win for an arena packed full of people he classed as his own, hammered home just how rare a moment this actually was - two world class stars at the top of their game fighting in front of a home crowd.

Stylebender may have earned the brutal victory on the night - via second round KO - but it was the appreciative Australasian fans who were the true winners on the night and their record-breaking collection of voices enhanced the dramatic action which took place inside the cage.
