10 Steps IMPACT Wrestling Must Take Following Slammiversary 2021

1. Make A Star Out Of Josh Alexander

Josh Alexander doesn't have to win the IMPACT World Championship from Kenny Omega.

But he could.

'The Walking Weapon' has been doing some elegant work as X Division Champion, constantly being a highlight of the show in unreal encounters against TJP, Ace Austin, Brian Myers, and others. His sixty-minute Iron Man match vs. the former received favourable comments from even before it aired, while his Ultimate X match from Slammiversary redefined the stipulation.

Dave Meltzer has previously reported that IMPACT plans to push the hell out of the former two-time World Tag Team Champion. As the reigning X Division Champion, the thought of Option C springs to mind. For the uninitiated, this gives whoever is the X Division Champion the opportunity to cash in their title for a shot at the World Championship, which the likes of Brian Cage and Chris Sabin have used successfully in the past.

So long as IMPACT continue down the path of crafting Josh Alexander into this diverse superstar in an era where guys of his stature and style aren't a rarity, he could easily turn the X Division Championship into a World Championship without anyone batting an eyelid.

Right now, he's an outside bet to end Omega's title run. It's going to be Moose, surely. Josh could do it, though; his current crop of work illustrates this.
